In 1999 I reached out to a few friends I knew through climbing or ski mountaineering, and shared my vision of the Land of Inspiration with them. I wanted to found a non-profit focused on creating mountain programs for personal growth - above all adventure-based therapy, and climbing and ski mountaineering courses. We met in Bratislava. The idea appealed to them, maybe partly because they'd already experienced something like it with me firsthand. We agreed they'd help me with it. The intention was good, but life scattered us all in different directions. Along the way came our children and plenty of other joys and worries too. My idea, tied to my own name besides, suggested it would mostly fall on me. More than a few people have come and gone since. That's why it isn't easy for me to introduce our team - we really are a Land of Inspiration. Individual people come to us, spend some time with us, and then go off to make that inspiration real elsewhere. At the same time, their own work and lives often inspire us too. That's how it should be. In a broader sense, our team is also everyone who takes our courses, climbs our routes, uses our ski-touring and travel itineraries, learns from our methodology, and contributes to keeping the whole system running - each as much as they're able to. Without that, everything would be far more complicated, and might lose its meaning too. So it isn't possible to name everyone - that's why, in this "Our team" section, we introduce those who've been with us long-term, actively and intensively.
